“TBI Bank joins for a second time in the “Manager for a day” initiative. We realize how important it is to build a bridge between education and business and to support young people in their first career steps” said Valentin Galabov at the ceremony of awarding students with certificates for their participation in the initiative.

For a day we had a new  Accounting and Reporting Manager (Hristina Ivanova and Wisam Aljanabi), Recruitment and Employer Branding Manager ( Denitza Cvetkova), People and Organizational Development Manager (NevenaZafirkova) and Call Center Manager (Djanan Ramadan). End of the day, a feedback session was held with our Talent Acquisition Specialist, Silvia Petrova and the TBI Bank career opportunities were presented. Question and answers session followed with Nina Mihaylova, our Chief People Officer.

The “Manager for a Day” initiative’s main goal is to provide high-school and university students with the opportunity to experience the personal and academic demands of the daily business operations. Furthermore, Manager for a Day promotes short listed students to learn and fosters productive relationships among business, education and the community. The initiative enjoys great success all over the world. Each year managers, politicians and leaders from all areas of business and public life serves as role models to young people to gain practical experience and training in business relations.

With our participation in the event, we once again contributed to reinforcing the external image of TBI Bank and showed our support towards younger communities in the beginning of their career orientation.

MEET & GREET

Silvia & Antonio: “Hearing the smile in our voices, brings back talents’ real ones”

Today we speak with the Recruitment force of the TBI Bank Human Resources Team – Silvia and Antonio. They will give us a better understanding of what are the main challenges in the recruitment field, how digitalisation gets closely connected to the talent acquisition process and what is inspiring these two young professionals in their day to day work.

  1. What are the main challenges that you face in the recruitment field?

As we as organisation have started the exciting journey of digitalisation, new roles and functions are emerging on permanent base. This requires from us to be constantly updated on the recruitment market trends, to study in details the new requirements and find different ways to attract top talents. As long as educational and professional background are very important, the soft skills, personal motivation and real energy, are the ones that make a current applicant, a potential employee who fits well to our organisational culture.

As long as educational and professional background are very important, the soft skills, personal motivation and real energy, are the ones that make a current applicant, a potential employee who fits well to our organisational culture.

2. Our vision is to become a next generation digital lender – how will you align the recruitment process to this and what follows next?

We are doing our best to differentiate ourselves on the labor market and our main target is to become a preferred employer of choice. What’s coming next for us, is to make the recruitment process automated one using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) – a software application that enables the electronic handling of the recruitment process in a simple, fast and easy manner both for us, and for the hiring managers who will have full access to their relevant rich applicants database. We work together with our IT collegues to make sure these systems meet the internal information security requirements and we are exploring different ATSs to find the ones that suits best our needs as there is no one size, fits all solution.

3. What is inspiring you in your day to day work?

As our organisation is further developing, starting and implementing new exciting projects, finding the best match for the each open position brings us real satisfaction. But what makes us happy and confirms how important our work is, is when we meet and talk to people that we’ve targeted and brought to the Bank some time ago, and see how these employees are successfully integrated in their new teams, further develop themselves and thus contributing to our growth and progress.

Hearing the smile in our voices, brings back talents’ real ones.

Think Finance with Google

Technology and everyday life have never been as closely connected as they are today. Artificial Intelligence-first world is coming at lightning speed, and we’ve been exploring what this technology revolution means for both consumers, and our customers in the finance industry.

A TBI Bank’s team joined in Warsaw on 4 to 5 October with top finance leaders from Central Europe to hear about innovation and best practices in finance to ensure we continue to meaningfully engage with our customers in this landscape, and how to become truly customer centric. All participants met in Campus Warsaw, a space where big ideas were shaping the future. Some of the key takeaways from the summit were:

Organizing data and structuring the way we collect information about prospects and customers is a top priority. We don’t need a lot of data to make decisions and move on “Use technology to be more human”: develop tools and solutions that support us in interacting with prospects and customers in a way that is user-friendly and relevant and to customize the customer experience, not to create automated, impersonal communications and solutions Cloud solutions will prevent “lock-in”, and help us be more agile.

“This is a time of assistants. So, even moved to digital channels, people like to have still personalized approach. And AI with chatbots, video channels can support it. Customized applications, personalized proposal are key in the current communication strategy.” said our collegue Olga Gulkova, Director Lean Division.

“To achieve our vision of becoming a next generation digital lender, we need to develop customer centric strategies, inspired by knowledge and understanding of each customer’s needs, lifestyle and habits. Marketing automation can help enhance and customize the customer experience, however there is a fine-line between truly engaging with customers and creating impersonal, robotic communications and solutions. Structuring the way we collect information, оrganizing data and utilizing advanced analyses will be crucial for our success.” added Deyana Gancheva, Manager Digital Marketing.

Attention was raised to assistants services, voice-based, but distant communications - many participants said: we concentrated on data collection, business analytics and artificial intelligence, all the rest - we just took what worked perfectly without much developments. The digital transformation road map was shown in 4 steps - differentiate products and services; reinvent offers and distribution; refresh skills and create a culture of innovation; establish technological leadership.

Some inspiring case studies were also presented – ZencardTandem Bank with their beta-testing community, and Goodie by Bank Millennium.

When starting to talk about Maramures, you can never decide what it is more important to begin with: the landscape, the people, the food, the traditions or, yes, digitalization.

Although we respect the past knowledge, the „morosan“ is receptive to the present challenges and thinks about the future. The „moroseni“ are simple, ambitious people who do not give up fulfilling their dreams. You can find them always working, eager to find out new things and share knowledge.

The food culture is very important for the “moroseni”. You must taste the “colesa cu branza” (cheese polenta) or drink the “horinca de prune” – our variation a plum brandy.

In Maramureș, tradition did not stand aside the modern times. On the contrary. As good hosts, the „moroseni“ have invited digital technology to stay tuned in times of change. Maramures attracts like a magnet foreign investors aware of the huge potential of the main touristic pole from the North of Romania.
